A real curiosity of the Haute-Vienne, it takes its name from a greenish rock with a scaly appearance, resembling a snake\u2019s skin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">An exceptional ecosystem<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Serpentine is a rare rock that creates unique living conditions for vegetation: the soil is low in nutrients but very rich in magnesium and heavy metals.
